Visit to Cowichan Bay
Earlier this week Constance and Patience accompanied their humans on a visit to Cowichan Bay, where they ate a delicious lunch and strolled around the shops and docks.
They spotted a sea lion on the dock and watched and listened as it gave “what-for” to another sea lion in the water.

Patience liked the sign on the Tuna Fish Boat…

Constance found a plate at the Spinning Ninny. Tiny for humans maybe but generous for Hitty.
.
.
Hittys kept hearing a croaking sound during their visit to Cowichan Bay, but they never figured out what it was.

Lucky Hittys to see sea lions so close by. It looks like it was a suitable day for amphibians.
The sea lions barked and belched and sneezed very loudly too, and didn’t in the least mind the rain.
Looks like so much fun! How lucky to be able to go to places like this! laura
It is only about an hour away from the Hitty cupboard by car – the Quimper Hittys like outings – near or far!
Lovely images. I especially like the first, with the girls looking into the distance.
It was a very wet day, but as the Hittys gazed at all the boats they remembered the Original Hitty’s adventures by sea, which were much wetter!
Sounds like the girls had a wonderful time, even though they were trailed by a few friends including a toad with a camera!
They are hoping for another outing soon.
It seems that you were stalked! I have it on good authority that the amphibious portion of the party had a splendiferous time and are very much looking forward to more adventures with the Hittys!
The Hittys don’t mind a bit of Hoparazzi, especially when he is so genial.
We think the Toad got lots of good pictures of the girls and the sea-lions. What a fun adventure – to watch the sea-lions at such close range. They do make alot of noise though……..
They did bellow and belch a lot!
