Snake Year
Rose thinks the old Lion Mask is amazing, if a bit scary.
The snake is a different kind of fierce.

That is kind of scary – but I see Rose is very brave – after all, it is the Lunar New Year and we wish the Quimper Hittys many happy adventures.
The Quimper Hittys thank you, and are also hoping for a new year full of adventures!
I think that Rose must know she is indigestible to both lions and snakes – what else would explain her calm demeanour in such close proximity to mouths much bigger than she is?
That jacket and the blue sleeves and trousers suits her colouring perfectly.
Rose hadn’t thought about digestibility, but she examined the teeth and gullets closely before she got too close. She likes the way her new clothes bring out the highlights in her beautiful blue eyes.
Rose’s costume is just gorgeous! Was last year a Lion Year? Is the Snake chasing away the Lion?
Last year was the Dragon year! The ceremonial dance is done with a Lion Mask at New Year.
Happy Snake Year. Be like water this year.
We’ll try, though water is complicated.
Indeed. I always feel that; flowing at times, hard at others, life giving AND destructive… It’s a hard act to emulate.
I have found this post and the comments by all to be rather profound. Fabulous!
We are glad you’ve hopped on by and are enjoying the Quimper Hittys’ comings and goings.
