Labels
We don’t often get envelopes delivered by the Royal Mail.
Rose has been waiting for these, and opens up the envelope right away. She gets busy while the other Hittys are still marvelling at the package.

I ordered some “Q. H.” (for Quimper Hitty) woven labels from Cash’s, and each quilt will get one sewn on by Rose, whose fine stitching is the neatest in the Quimper Hitty family.

now that is just TOOO marvelous!! The Hittys have their own labels. Rose you are such a darling!!
must not let my girls see this or the clamor will be unbearable!! Very very clever Miss K
Rose IS such a darling! I am glad to see she uses a thimble too, much safer for this kind of work. Is she working with silk thread? That should help with fine work.
Silk Thread is the best for taking tiny stitches!
Rose is too polite to gloat, but she IS inordinately pleased with herself for thinking of the labels, not to mention persuading me to send for them. The other girls are still goggling at the Royal Mail envelope.
Very lovely….nice stitching, Rose!
Thank you!
A Hitty-size thimble–what a marvelous find that is!
A friend gave it to me after one of her de-cluttering binges. We were grateful, lucky and amazed!
Lovely. I love how practical Rose is… but then, I understand the anticipation.
There is room for all kinds of dolls (and people) in our world.
