Nightgowns
The Quimper Hitty’s human has noticed some grizzling about the lack of night attire, and despite suffering from another lurgy, she managed to make a nightgown for Tansy.
.
.
Tansy is not inclined to look a gift horse in the mouth, but isn’t exactly thrilled with the childish flanelette.
.
.
She prefers elves like Legolas that are more adventurous.
.
.
Dulcie, on the other hand, likes pretty fairies, and has had to go to bed in her skivvies.

Winter is coming, so clothing of some kind in bed seems like a good idea. I think Dulcie must be all set with a warm flannel nightie.
Warm Flannel nighties with elves are Dulcie’s idea of perfect bed-wear.
Another Lurgy! How awful. Hope you are feeling better soon. I don’t know what Tansy is going on about, I think that is a very sweet nightgown. I suppose she feels she is too sophisticated. Good thing Dulcie likes it, I think it suits her 🙂 By the way, WWLW? (What Would Legolas Wear?) My guess is nothing at all… so I suppose Tansy is set!
Well, it never hurts to dream, and Tansy is capable of admiring a handsome elf….
Dulsie looks adorable in the fairies! The pink and yellow is perfect for her.
Dulcie thinks so too! I thought the fabric was too cute to leave languishing behind on the sale table in Tennessee. I always meant to make a Nightie for her out of it.
May the Quimper Hittys et al soon recuperate from the most recent lurgy. The fiberliciousness that surrounds the Quimpers should really aid in a quick recovery.
The Quimper Hittys are doing fine, it is the et al that is under the weather, drat it all. Of course the Hittys suffer when the humans don’t have time to play…
Perhaps Tansie just needs some long underwear…long johns we call them. Of course this is coming from a human who has made NO sleep wear for her girls. Come to think of it the skivvies do seem a good choice!
Hope that the Lurgy has now left your home and you are feeling much much better!!
Tansy is veritably LONGING for longjohns…sadly I fear my knitting skills are not up to it. The lurgy is receding by degrees.
That flannel made up so cute! The nightgown is just darling.
Thanks! And thanks for the fabric, Dulcie is in love with it.
🙂
The nightie (and the Hitty-size story books), are delightful!
We like the books too – Tansy is especially fond of the “Lord of the Rings”
