I do love all the colors in this photo…the frosty grass, Hatties sweater/shawl and her dress….even her hair color…all just adds up to a really nice shot. And of course Hattie is a diligent example to all of us slothful readers!!
The grass is a lovely colour. Reminds me of the colour green on some of the old Olympus Pen half frame cameras. Hattie would understand that comment I expect. I hope she did not freeze her joints, or anything else.
What do the Hittys think when they toss bits of wood in the fire – does the phloem in their selves quiver nervously?
We liked the colour of the grass too, especially since it looks so nice with Hattie’s eyes. The cosy sweater kept her joints from siezing up…Hattie is amused by your Olympus Pen comment, and thinks you make extremely interesting comparisons, but all the Hittys agree you are their favourite photographer and so are indulgent with obscure comments regarding cameras. And the Hittys always ask for help when feeding the flames.
It IS a very cold day in this part of the world. How generous of Hattie to venture out in the cold to gather firewood.
A Hot cup of tea is earned, sometimes the hard way!

Thank you, it was a beautiful (though cold) morning! Hattie she loves the sweater, her toes were cold, though, but only for a minute.

I hope Hattie had wool socks on!
Rose is knitting like mad!
Ohhh, this is precious. What a good dolly to offer her help. Hope she got something warm to drink afterwards.
Hattie is very helpful – and she did get her cup of tea!
