Mince Pies 2013
Constance, Tansy, Hattie and Min are the elected Mince Pie filling makers this year… They closely inspect the ingredients…
And test the kitchen scales before commencing to weigh and measure….

.
Many hands make light work – fortunately the humans and Hittys both had lots of help, and the big bowl was quickly filled up with raisins and almonds, grated apples and lemon zest and everything else.
.
.
Constance and Hattie have found an almost Hitty-sized preserving jar.
.
.
The girls are rather pleased with the results!

Tansy and Hattie are in charge of pastry-making this year.

The cat feels that mince pies take up too much room on a person’s lap.

I cannot think of a nicer way to enjoy mincemeat or any pie, than with a group of Hittys! Lovely as always.
The Hittys love any pie, and Mince pie is their favourite at this time of year.
Oh, yummy. Makes my mouth water. Lucky Hittys!
They are lucky – I found them a wee preserving jar and some perfect pie tins!
YUM
Yes!!
that preserving jar in their size is quite a find!! The girls and I are very impressed. And the pie making ..what a project. It all looks scrumptious!. Love the girls pinafores.
We had fun – and it is always nice when the fun results in delicious food!
Mince pies – had some in England recently – Very British and Canadian too. Truly delicious.
They mean “Christmas” to the Quimper Hittys’s favourite (English extracted) photographer, so the (Scandinavian extracted) QH human had to learn how to make them!
