Gingerbread Houses
Constance and Eugenia were excited that the Quimper Hitty Human’s kitchen became a gingerbread house construction site this morning…
The gingerbread house pieces were made using a cast iron mold, and they were glued together with royal icing. Then the houses were decorated using royal icing to outline features and stick on the candy…

One of the construction workers made a wee house for the girls to decorate…

Eugenia added a gingerbread person,

Constance was tempted to have a tiny taste of the lemon-flavoured Royal Icing, but really she just sniffed!

Just a wee sniff! I think those m&ms are in danger.
Constance has a very wee flat nose, she has to get rather close sniff! She admits she is tempted to liberate a tiny m&m…
oh what a lovely day at your house. I and my girls are quite impressed with the creations. And we loved the
girls with their very own wee house. What fun!!
It was fun, and the houses were all so creative and beautiful.
A gingerbread house for Christmas – What fun – Constance looks totally in charge !!
It is fun to have a little gingerbread house! After admiring it for a while Constance will have lots of help eating it!
Wonderful houses – about the right size for Hittys to play in. But no chewing!
No Chewing? How about a little tiny lick? It appears that a sniff just makes her drool.
Wonderful Christmasy post! Your house seems so cosy and warm in your posts.
Hope you and the Hittys have a wonderful holiday!
Thank you, Becca, it is cosy here, we are very lucky. I hope the best for you and yours too, and I am sure your Hitty Calamity has some delightful Holiday plan up her very tiny sleeve!!
Everything looks just delicious! And cute! The Quimper Hittys will have quite a celebration!
They are in a good mood for celebrating! Even on a day as dark as today is!
Sometimes the darkest days can be the brightest, and these creative girls have truly done a wonderful job with their houses. Constance is making my mouth water and I am amazes she didn’t lick her mitt! Great job!
She may well have licked her mitt – it is hard to make a gingerbread house without a single drop of icing going astray!
Love the gingerbread! What are the chimney bricks made of? Are they Pez candies? Wonderful idea for bricks whatever they are!
Yes! Pez candies…a little pale, but just the right shape!
