Boxing Day in the Hitty Cupboard
The Hittys had fun on Boxing Day…Rose heaped cranberries from Read Island into a bowl.
.
Hattie made a tray of sweets to have with tea.….
.
.
Constance stood about looking elegant in her new Holiday Apron (hand embroidered and sewn by a special Hitty friend who knows that the Quimper Hittys love berries and birds) …
.
.
Patience’s patience was tried by the cat, who tried hard to help prepare the salmon for dinner.
.
.
and Mary Ann held on to the feeling of Christmas.

Your dolls are so regal and lovely in their outfits….and what a very lovely skirt Constance wears….your kind Hitty friend did a beautiful job. Thank you for sharing the Boxing Day delights.
It has been a quiet day today – the Quimper Hittys are glad the hectic part of the holidays is now over and they can relax a bit more. We Love the beautiful apron, the Quimper Hittys will treasure it!
Delightful! The settings and the clothing are marvelous!
Thank you Ann – we’re all enjoying the leeward side of Christmas.
What a busy day! And not one of them is out shopping!
Shopping – horrors! Mary Anne especially is not a very worldly Hitty.
Just beautiful! I’m happy to see your weaving in the pictures! The props in the scenes are terrific! That salmon was really great! All in all, things seemed to have a peaceful air. The girls seem to do their preparations with class! Happy Boxing Day!
Thank You, Laura – that little mat (Mackintosh tartan “rags”) is one of the Hittys favourite rugs. They Love the salmon too, and it is perfect for a West Coast Hitty feast!
the holiday frocks are so pretty…I like the subtle colors.. Since we have a cat at our house we
laughed over the salmon vrs cat pic. And poor impatient Patience. All of your photos showed the spirit of the
season. My favorite is probably Mary Ann. Happy Boxing Day to all of you!!
Yes, most of the Quimper Hittys tend to go for subtle colours, and their finery reflected the peaceful day they had today. Constance is especially grateful for the beautiful beautiful apron made by her very kind and talented Hitty friend (you know of whom I speak). The cat was pacified with a bowl of whipping cream leftover from making the rice pudding! Happy Boxing Day to you too!
almost forgot….dare we ask where Min was during all these preparations??
Having fun elsewhere!
I too am holding on to the feeling of Christmas….always. Blessings to you and all your adorable Hittys
I hope you are having a lovely holiday!
All the pictures are so pretty. Constance’s apron is so beautifully done. Your hitty friend is very talented. Love the cat and the salmon as well. Nice to see Rose again with the cranberries. I can see all the Quimper girls and cat had a nice Christmas.
They did have a lovely holiday, made more special by kind comments by some friends, and generous gifts of others!! When we are mindful of such things, it makes us feel very grateful!
