Frost
Zipporah loves this sterling silver Victorian match case – it has such pretty engravings.

Was the engraver inspired by the frost, she wonders?
I hope all the Hitty friends in the Northern hemisphere are staying warm in this winter chill (-51 C in Winnipeg yesterday) and that our friends in the southern Hemisphere can cool down soon (35 C in Buenos Aires this afternoon).

glad to see Zippora is inside and snug in her shawl. Minus 12 F. this morning in MO. But we are also snug
inside. Lovely match case.what treasures both the match case and Zippora are!!
We hope you and the country Hittys stay cosy – and that Marie Claire’s chickens are fluffed out and warm somewhere…
What a lovely comparison Zipporah has pointed out to us. Zipporah looks nicely layered in her garments. I didn’t realize the southern hemisphere was so hot at this time.
We love the frost, when we have a warm place to observe it from anyway…I hope everyone who is suffering will get warm or cool down as the occasion requires!
That is a very interesting observation of Zipporah’s. Also, the more I look at the second photo the more I like it. Very nice.
🙂 I liked the pink tinge on both the frost pattern and the matches case.
It is very pretty isn’t it.
Very Pretty Frost, and it really reminded us of the silver engraving, or was it vice versa?
Zipporah has good taste. She looks warm and happy and she loves the Victorian match case, which has such pretty engraving.
She feels bad for people enduring the unrelenting cold of winter with no warmth or beauty to carry them through it.
