Rhododendrons
Rhododendrons abound in Victoria.
Mary Ann is fond of gentle pursuits…
.
.
…and loves to contemplate the delicately coloured flowers…
.
.
… she quite likes the pale pink petals …
.
.
But more intensely coloured blooms begin to worry Mary Ann…
.
.
She has heard that “Nature need not be improved upon”…
.
.
but really this is a bit much!

Quakers always loved their gardens!
I just finished a book on the history of early Nantucket, which had a chapter on Quaker gardens. Beautiful photos !
That sounds like a lovely book!
Mary Ann looks in her element to me.
She loves the Rhododendrons, but is not used to being in the midst of such a riot of colour!
Mary Ann has entered the world of being stretched…she looks like she’s handling it beautifully.
She is one of the calmer of the Quimper Hittys, it is true, but her aplomb is getting a workout!
Mary Ann has such a gentle manner. I enjoyed the photo of her bending to the flowers. She looks so pretty among those beautiful blooms.. These photos were a feast for the eyes. thank you!!
You are welcome – Hittys and flowers go so well together!
We love rhododendrons here as well and have several in our garden, but they haven’t flowered yet – usually May is when we expect them, although most plants are a lot earlier this year.
I am glad you are back in time to enjoy them!
