B&B in the Eastern Townships
While visiting in the Eastern Townships, Constance slept with her friend in a comfortable four-poster bed, between dainty linen sheets, and under a soft wool blanket…Their delicate nighties are pretty nice – we all admired the pretty smocked yoke.
Rose and her friend slept in an identical bed. Rose was glad of her flannelette nighty – she felt a little chilly!
.
.
Ima had help with spreading the new Card Trick Quilt in another bedroom. They hurried to make it up in the morning, so as not to be late for the glorious repast spread out upon the dining room table for breakfast.
.
.
They sat down rather formally, with linen napkins in silver napkin rings, beautiful cutlery and china, and were glad to see a large teapot on the table too, hinting at the possibility of drinking copious amounts of tea while chatting and getting to know their new friends!
.
.
The tart was stunningly beautiful, but they managed to reduce its perfection to crumbs.
.
.
Constance thinks she has never seen such an amazing breakfast!
.
.
The hens on the floor of the kitchen are so cute…and now we know why the eggs are so fresh!
.
.
The hen on the shelf is awfully cute too!
.
.
Thus fortified, no wonder Constance and Rose had such a fine time on their visit, and are so eager for their human to keep in touch with their new friends!

Yes indeed….what a marvelous place to rest one’s head and enjoy friendship. Thanks for sharing the photos of a very pretty place, that’s inhabited by pretty friends with pretty things.
The girls had a great time, and finished their visit to Quebec feeling warmed by friendship and with their tummies full of delicious treats!
Oh my goodness! Their hostesses live in the most delightful home! How completely enchanting!
Enchanting was exactly the word for it – they felt like they had fallen into a magic spell of loveliness!
Oh my word! I have kitchen envy! What a spread, what an amazing breakfast, nothing was forgotten! The bedrooms are pretty special as well. This is just fantastic…I am in awe!
Their host dolls were very unassuming and generous, and happy to share their beautiful home with guests from afar!
My girls are agog with these photos…those beds and bed linens are astounding!! The dining room complete with everything one could wish to dine on and with…amazing. I myself am quite taken with the napkin rings!! We do love to set a pretty table here in the country. (and of course Marie Claire now wants to move chickens into the house!).
The chickens in the house may be destined for the pot – better warn Marie Claire before she gets too far with her plans…There were certainly a lot of fine little details, and love in the assemblage. Altogether a very delightful and memorable visit, and new friends to cherish too!
Just lovely, no wonder your girls were so pleased. Blessings
They are still chattering about it!
Oh my goodness, what delightful hospitality, in such a very gracious (and amazing) home! We were oohing and ahing at every image.
We too were amazed and delighted…the Sutton Girls were very gracious and hospitable, so was their human family…I’d love to visit again!
