Wedding Cake
When the big day arrived Constance was occupied with looking after a toddler and advising on proper wedding cake doll etiquette…
The couple arranged themselves under the Chuppah and their toddler made sure she was part of the ceremony…

Everyone did what they were meant to do, and the big day was a big success!
The traditional English Fruitcake was collaborative effort of the bride, her mother and her grandmother. The Marchpane coating was decorated with sugared rose petals from the garden, and candied violets from France. The dolls were made by the bride and her mother.
Mazel Tov to the happy couple!

What a wonderful post! I am so glad to know that the day went wonderfully. I wish I could have been there.
We wish it too!
It was a great event, and as usual the QHs contributions were substantial and timely.
The Quimper Hittys love to help!
Oh, so much tender loving family care went into all of this glorious celebration. Thank you for sharing…especially enjoyed the chuppah.
It was fun helping it all to happen…and the chuppah was a beautiful part of the ceremony!
How dear! Thank you for this glimpse into such a happy moment. Do tell about the knitting I see behind that wonderful cake, please. I would like to hear what words of wisdom Constance has about proper etiquette.
The bride knitted the shawl from a pattern in a book called “Knitted Lace of Estonia” by Nancy Bush

Wedding cake doll etiquette seems to mostly consist of standing around making people smile
🙂
How wonderful that you and your daughter made the cake dolls together!
It was fun! They turned out pretty cute!
I love it that the Quimper Hittys were part of this wonderful wedding- and I loved seeing tiny toes peeking out from the beautiful lace shawl! May the bridal couple have a long, long, long and happy happy happy life together! Blessings to the entire family!
The Hittys pretty much go where I go! Thank you for the blessings, I’ll make sure the couple receive them!
