An Irish Blessing 2015
An Irish linen traycloth has been converted into a new Hitty apron.
.
The apron is decorative but functional, and Hattie is happy to wear it while doing the dusting…
…and while helping to tune the Celtic Harp…
… and especially while singing a Blessing for today…
Wishing you always…
Walls for the wind,
A roof for the rain
And tea beside the fire.
Laughter to cheer you,
Those you love near you,
And all that your heart may desire.
Happy St Patrick’s Day!

Ah, Hattie….thanks for showing off your lovely apron and singing that lovely song to us. May your little wooden voice be carried by the wind and bless others.
You are welcome, and thanks for your good wishes too…
That’s perfect! Happy St Pat’s Day!
Thanks 🙂 We hope you had a lovely day too!
How magical! Thank you Hattie for blessing and playing for us!
We especially like the “tea beside the fire” part of the blessing, we find tea very restorative.
Yes, indeed! Tea is one of life’s great blessings! Especially when shared with a friend 🙂
what a charming song and a delightful Hitty. Hatty is lovely in her new apron. What a great use of that tray cloth!! I love how you have utilized the embroidery and what a cleverly designed pinny it is. Thank you for the blessing that is the Quimper Hittys!!
The tray cloth was in the back of the cupboard for a long while, I had always planned to turn the pretty corner into an apron. There is quite a bit left over, and I am sure we’ll find some use for it!
Pretty apron! Where did she get the Hitty-sized celtic harp?
Thanks! The little harp is a 1:12 scale floor-harp which makes it a nice Hitty-sized Celtic lap-sized harp. I got it at the miniature shop on Johnson St in Victoria.
Thank you Hattie – Love your little apron, harp and the words in the Irish song/poem
You are welcome – We especially liked the poem too!
