An Irish linen traycloth has been converted into a new Hitty apron.

The apron is decorative but functional, and Hattie is happy to wear it while doing the dusting…

Singing the blessing

Singing the blessing

… and especially while singing a Blessing for today…

Wishing you always…
Walls for the wind,
A roof for the rain
And tea beside the fire.
Laughter to cheer you,
Those you love near you,
And all that your heart may desire.

Happy St Patrick’s Day!

  1. Ah, Hattie….thanks for showing off your lovely apron and singing that lovely song to us. May your little wooden voice be carried by the wind and bless others.

  2. what a charming song and a delightful Hitty. Hatty is lovely in her new apron. What a great use of that tray cloth!! I love how you have utilized the embroidery and what a cleverly designed pinny it is. Thank you for the blessing that is the Quimper Hittys!!

    • The tray cloth was in the back of the cupboard for a long while, I had always planned to turn the pretty corner into an apron. There is quite a bit left over, and I am sure we’ll find some use for it!
