Another Lily
Opal and Agathe encountered a very odoriferous member of the Lily family on their recent small adventure (number 4), so they were understandably suspicious when they noticed it’s relatives in our very own front garden…
…but having determined that it didn’t have an overpoweringly horrible scent, they hacked at a stem…
…carried it home to the Hitty Cupboard in triumph…
…and presented it to Constance!

just delightful…I must comment on Constance’s apron. I love it! that embroidery is so sweet.
I love that apron too – one of Constance’s friends made it for her!
Those two little gals are just full of spunk…their faces emanate such life…and what a lovely gift to the ever patient and stable one, Constance.
Constance receives all gifts of flowers with patience, gratitude and grace.
Best use of a crosscut saw that I ever heard of.
Yes, Hittys need small but effective tools when they tackle giant-scale flowers…and the saw also works very nicely on gingerbread houses, I’ve heard!
Truly a lovely gift- and I am sure that Constance is pleased that it doesn’t make the Hitty cupboard smell skunkie! Her new apron is a delight 🙂
Constance IS pleased, and the rest of the Hitty Cupboard denizens are as well!
That apron is very pretty – Constance is a lucky girl
Thank you – a dear Hitty friend made it for us – we like the scene from the Book which is hand-embroidered on it!
