Abigail and Amanda
Abigail has found herself painted and strung together with hair elastics…
.
.
…and clothed from the Hitty closet.
.
.
…and a couple of hours after she became a “real doll” our favourite youngest human arrived for a visit.
.
.
Young Human had brought Amanda with her to rifle through the Hitty closet too…(Amanda is a small Artist’s mannequin but she needed a dress).
.
.
Amanda and Abigail rolled with delight in the lovely-smelling Chamomile.
.
.
But really they were on the way to the beach…
.
.
…where Abigail found a piece of clam shell…
.
.
…and Amanda read a Chiton Book.
.
.
Then they moved rocks around…
.
.
…until they made a pattern…
.
.
…of love!
.
.
They found a little heart!
.
.
Then they were so tired that they lay down for a nap – rock-a-bye-baby…
.
.
…the rocks weren’t very comfortable so they curled back up in the basket with the chamomile, and had a little snooze.
.
.
And then collected sea glass for a while.
.
.
Abigail had a lovely rock bath…
.
.
…and then it was Amanda’s turn.
.
.
Finally they went home…

So nice to have a friend for a lovely adventure.
It is so nice! Hittys do seem to be friendly dolls, and mine seem to love company! I also appreciate my young human, who is always up for an adventure with dolls!
No matter what the circumstances, a young human and dolls and a grandmother can have endless and unique adventures. Thanks once again for sharing that particularly sweet jaunt.
PS. Abigail is REALLY a pretty doll. You make such wonderful doll companions.
We do have fun together – just listening and joining in when invited is such a privilege! – and thanks very much for your very kind words about Abigail.
so nice that Abigail has already made friends and enjoyed a fun day at the beach. Love her Mary Jane’s and red hair. Her wood grain “heart” is special, another beautiful storm doll.
We were so happy to welcome Abigail to the Hitty cupboard. The drilling disaster last year affected the hip joints, but I kept them – I just couldn’t dispose of the legs and the little cute feet!
As always, utterly enchanting! Pure delight 🙂
Thanks – she is going to be good company in our cupboard!
This post has so many of my favorite things in it! Little Humans, dolls, sea glass, heart-shaped rocks, and naps, to name a few! ❤️
It was a lovely day…filled with some of my favourite things too!

It is dear, I try to soak up each precious moment!
