January Garden with Cats
In between rainshowers some of the Quimper Hittys took a little wander in the spring bulb garden pots – Gillyflower wondered if the cat wanted to play with her!
…but Carrot Soup and Eugenia directed her attention to some little green snouts…the same colour as Carrot Soup’s boots!
…and then Gilly spotted a Grape Hyacinth!
The Witch Hazel looks on the verge of blooming…

Life is springing back!!!! Ah!!!!!! Gillyflower Is learning all about Quimper neighbourhood!!!! That cat seems very taken by her…do you suppose he’d like to play too?
The garden is trying hard – we had to look closely, but it is very encouraging when we find these signs!
It gives me such a warm feeling to see your dolls in the throes of what is winter there versus the frigidity here in the Midwestern USA. Thanks for warming me up with all of these Spring-like signs and of course the joy that’s evident on the dolls faces.
I am always of two minds whether to publish these winter in Victoria pictures, I don’t want to seem gloating…I am glad you feel warmed!
We are in the throes of bitter, bitter cold here, so seeing all the budding and beginnings of spring in your home and back yard is lovely! Thank you 🙂
You are welcome! Better take a quick trip to the Muttart, I know spring in Northern Alberta will be a while yet…
Eeeeek! Spring already??!!
We have seen a few snowdrops, though not in our yard. I bought the Witch Hazel last year because I knew it would bloom really early and be an encouraging sight from our back window. Luckily the Apple tree missed it when it fell down!
ahhh, your pics are making spring seem a tad closer. Love the girls investigating the plantings…and the cat!
The sun will return! The girls had fun, and the big cat was annoyed at not being able to play with Gillyflower…the pussywillows were just their cute fuzzy silent selves.
