  1. Indeed cheerful girls in their lively attires! A breath of fresh air! Spring has definitely Sprung on Quimper!!!

  2. Ah, they are such a wonderful family! Everything is done with a good will and a smile. My girls think them the epitome of fine domesticity.

      • When I saw Gilly’s tiny book of Dolly Dingle paper dolls, my heart sang! I used to have Dolly Dingle paper doll books on a larger scale, but they no longer seem to be on my shelves. I hope the tiny editions are still in print! How very dear! ❤

  3. I am completely charmed by Gilly. I wonder if you have ever had her DNA tested. It wouldn’t surprise me to learn that she has some Irish Fairy ancestors. She is utterly at ease climbing on trees and high places. That adorable little vine chair looks like one you would find in and Irish fairies home. You know these sweet little magical beings shed their wings twice a year and if you find tiny feathers in your house…

  4. what a happy and busy family. I think Gilly has fun doing everything!! Love her paper dolls. Does Jane mind doing chores whilst the others play and contemplate flowers. Jane may be a follower of the old Shaker adage…Hands to work, Hearts to God. As always your photos and story are a joy to the eyes (and the heart)
