Gilly is cheerful when playing with dolls,
…and Hattie and Eugenia are admiring the beautiful flowers.
The Quimper Hittys try to approach all daily tasks with good intentions….even housework…
…and daily exercise!

The QHs are well-rounded in their activities…..a very wholistic group.
They surely try to be!
Indeed cheerful girls in their lively attires! A breath of fresh air! Spring has definitely Sprung on Quimper!!!
We are glad of the increased sunlight and very happy that the flowers are blooming…we think admiring flowers is a very important activity!
Ah, they are such a wonderful family! Everything is done with a good will and a smile. My girls think them the epitome of fine domesticity.
The Quimper Hittys always try their best, but some of them are better at domesticity than others…
How sweet. They are busy ladies!
Never a dull moment in the Quimper Hitty cupboard!
Such a wide variety of interests! 🙂 What fun!
The Quimper Hittys all do seem to be individuals, and they all do have fun though they exert themselves in various different directions!
When I saw Gilly’s tiny book of Dolly Dingle paper dolls, my heart sang! I used to have Dolly Dingle paper doll books on a larger scale, but they no longer seem to be on my shelves. I hope the tiny editions are still in print! How very dear! ❤
I am completely charmed by Gilly. I wonder if you have ever had her DNA tested. It wouldn’t surprise me to learn that she has some Irish Fairy ancestors. She is utterly at ease climbing on trees and high places. That adorable little vine chair looks like one you would find in and Irish fairies home. You know these sweet little magical beings shed their wings twice a year and if you find tiny feathers in your house…
If Gilly is a little changeling we definitely got lucky – she is a darling little thing! We’ll certainly keep our eyes open for tiny feathers…
what a happy and busy family. I think Gilly has fun doing everything!! Love her paper dolls. Does Jane mind doing chores whilst the others play and contemplate flowers. Jane may be a follower of the old Shaker adage…Hands to work, Hearts to God. As always your photos and story are a joy to the eyes (and the heart)
I think Jane wishes there was slightly less laundry in the Hitty cupboard, but she is grateful for her excellent washboard which makes the job easier!
