Passing Cloud – Tephra remembers
Tephra is remembering her favourite things from the Passing Cloud…like being snug inside during rain…
…and watching Puffins out in the Rain!
.
.
Tephra enjoyed the shore excursions, even when it wet in the forest…we saw Coho Fry in this little creek…
.
.
…and here are some fish bones in the forest – perhaps an eagle or a bear ate a salmon dinner at the edge of the creek!
.
.
She tried to visit with the Geoducks (pronounced Goo-ey Duck) but they just squirted their siphons at her…
.
.
But most of all, Tephra was fascinated by Sea Urchins, both big…
.
.
…and little!
.
.
Now she’s home, Tephra wishes she had her own wee urchin to play with, and is trying to adopt the cat toy.

Quimper Human, you are a wonderful story teller. A delightful gift. I can’t get enough of them. The sceneries and stories are precious.
The Quimper Hittys and I love sharing our experiences and our points of view – some which are fantastic, and some mundane…thanks for letting us know you appreciate them, it makes us happy!
Totally agree with Mary Anne, you are a wonderful tale teller. We are blessed.
Ah, thanks 🙂 we always love hearing from our Hitty friends!
Tephra is safer with a cat than a sea urchin – which might get smelly rather quickly. She can still enjoy the sea creatures with a walk to the beach.
That is true, but Tephra can still dream – eh?!
I loved the use of the fish skeletons on the bodice fabric! It distracted me from the sea urchin cat toy – I wonder if the makers of that knew they were producing sea urchins for dolls? Or, by any chance, is this perfect creature something you yourself sewed up! “I would not put it past you” as the English would say.
I see the bodice is her apron – what a delight to be acquainted with your mind, alert to every opportunity to get that little bit more fun out of life, in such a gently humourous way; an affectionate way.
That was a genuine cat toy, at least it was until Tephra adopted it…and we do have fun in the Quimper Hitty Cupboard 🙂 !
Geoducks??!!!! the Country Hittys and their human are properly fascinated by that creature. And our resident cat believes the sea urchins would make fine cat toys. Great information and photos.
They are not very Duck-like are they?! Tephra was rather taken-aback at being squirted!
