Ladybug Dress For Opal

Agathe’s Ladybug dress

Opal waited fairly patiently until I had time to make her a ladybug dress.

Fanned Pleats

To make her fancy bodice, I fanned the pleats a little and tacked them in place while sewing the rest of the dress. I think next time I will try making the bottom pleats even tighter.

Glee

Opal is not bothered by construction details, she is just glad to have a dress like her sister’s.

Block Twins

The twins new dresses gave them both the same idea…

Ladybug!

…and off they went to hunt for ladybugs!

  1. The twins continue to bring light-heartedness…and now these lovely ladybug dresses and hunt for one. Thanks for penning, posting and photo-ing your creativity.

  2. The twins never fail to delight. One of my earliest memories as a wee one, was finding lady bugs on the backside of our privet hedge. It was my first ever treasure find. I love this post and the dresses are so special.

  3. Those twins are just delightful. I am sure the new matching frocks have put them both in a very good mood. I am quite a fan of the pleated bodice and plan to give it a try on my next Hitty dress!
