Fibonacci

Each little cone is made of tiny cones of florets all arranged in a Fibonacci sequence (each number is the sum of the two preceding ones – Click here for the wiki page about this). Apparently all cauliflower and broccoli and many other plants and flowers grow in this fractal manner, but it is particularly visible in this species!

Awed

It is said to taste like cauliflower, but we don’t know if we can bear to eat such a magical mathematical vegetable!

  2. It is an amazing broccoli.I think it is so cool that one can see the Fibonacci pattern working so clearly in numerous forms within Nature. It’s a precious gift to us to see such patterns so clearly.
