Introductions
Up till now Constance has been the oldest girl in the family carved by me (chronologically speaking). I think that Jane might be the oldest doll. I hoped that introducing Mormor as an instant grandma would not put Constance’s or Jane’s noses out of joint….
.
…but I need not have worried…Constance and Jane are both delighted to have an older and wiser member added to the family (and neither of them has much of a nose anyway!). Mormor thinks she may have an apron and a recipe book in her valise, in case Jane ever wants a second pair of hands in the kitchen…
.
.
Jane made a pot of tea, and went back to thinking about what to make for supper…(Mormor gets to be a sitting-down guest for today). Mormor and Constance had a very nice chat and found they have a lot in common.
.
Constance showed Mormor the comfortable rocking chair…though of course the cat had found it first.
.
.
Mormor says she and the cat can both sit on the chair!
Thanks very much to a Hitty friend who sent a very sweet and unexpected surprise package of fall and winter clothes for the Quimper Hittys…Constance is wearing her favourite outfit from that package, and is looking forward to trying the rest on!

Everyone in your household has been well taken care of in one way or another and from this or that benefactors. You have a wonderful household of dolls (and felines).
We are lucky in our friends – they make me happy, and so do my dolls and felines!
It’s so nice Constance wasn’t upset with an older wiser new member of the household. Who doesn’t love a Gran.
Mormor seems to have won their hearts – I am so glad!
So adorable…Mormor is a Granny to love and Constance is so kind and attentive…they will have many happy tea times to share.
Constance was glad to find out that she and Mormor have a lot in common (a love of tea for starters!)
I am not surprised that Constance and Jane welcomed Mormor to the cupboard. They are both such kind and caring little wooden people. How lovely that the girls recieved a packet of fall clothing!! What a wonderful surprise!!!
It was a wonderful surprise – and so nicely made, with lovely fabrics. It was such fun to try on clothes and share them around…we have kind and wonderful friends!
Oh, firstly I have to say that tea cosy is absolutely delightful! As an avid tea drinker and lover of teapots, both myself and the Hittys of Rose Cottage adore it. Did you make it?
So glad that Mormor was welcomed so openly to the cupboard. It doesn’t surprise me one little bit though as the Quimper Hittys are such a wonderful friendly group. Such fun. Thank you for your continual sharing of these wonderful stories of their lives.
We were given that adorable tea cosy by a friend through a Hittygirls Swap – it is so cute isn’t it? The friend crocheted it with variegated cotton, I think!
I love sharing my Hittys and their stories – I am glad you like them, and thanks for saying so!
