Linen Face Cloth
Constance has been helping to weave linen on the big loom, which means soaking the bobbins to tame the linen wefts…
.
.
…otherwise they knot and tangle!
.
.
Once off the loom, she pressed the hems…
.
.
…pinned them…
.
.
…threaded the needle with linen thread…
.
.
…and stitched them all the way around.
.
.
When it was complete, she folded it up…
.
.
…and thought – what a nice project, but too bad the face cloth is for human and not Hitty-sized faces!
.
.
This is such a satisfying narrative. The cloth is beautifully executed. Perhaps Constance’s desires will be manifested?
Lovely. Absolutely lovely
It looks like it might work as a lovely summer blanket for the Hittys?
You are so talented.I am always intrigued with the steps along the way to the finished prize.
lovely! Constance is so clever. The linen is beautiful, pattern and colour are perfect.
so kind of Constance to do all that work for her human. The linen face cloth looks very luxurious! I always enjoy the weaving posts….such a mystery and delight to me.
