Advent Calendars
Arianell found a giant box on the table, and peeked in through the carrying holes…
.
.
Tipsy and Floradora peeked in too – What did they see?
.
.
Wonderful Things!

We have a Christmas Angel who organised 24 crafty friends in September – each of us were to make 24 little gifts, and when they were all redistributed, we each received a big box of small wrapped home-made gifts – each one numbered so that we open one each day of December until the 24th.
.
.
A silver spoon dipped in chocolate on December 1 – YUM! Floradora, Arianell and Tipsy can’t wait to help me use this one!
.
.
A sweet paper star on December 2 (these were actually made by Mormor and a couple of Hittys at the last minute, when the crafty contributions fell slightly short)…
.
.
Our dear Hitty cousins sent the Quimper Hittys their own wee advent calendar!
.
.
Thank you so much to all the Christmas Angels, you are making this gloomy season and difficult time a little more cheerful for all of us!

I now want a whole month’s worth of chocolate spoons; one couldn’t possibly be enough. What lovely cousins the Hittys have!
We agree that one chocolate spoon doesn’t seem quite enough…but we will enjoy the one, and the Hittys will lick it afterwards (if they haven’t already)! The cousins were so thoughtful, we were very touched at their kindness, and the Hittys are really enjoying opening the little windows!
that’s a wonderful idea.
It is, isn’t it? And with the contributions of friends, and friends of friends, we each have a lovely box of fun to cheer us up this month! I am so lucky!
I’m so glad that Christmas Angels came your way to brighten your days.
We are so glad too, it was a friendly project – fun to work on in isolation, and now feeling connected opening the gifts…really – a kind angel thought this up!
How lovely to have wee surprises to look forward to each day!
It is lovely fun, and we are so grateful to our Christmas Angel for inviting us to contribute to the box of lovely little things.
This is what I mean when I say you are a born story teller. Thinking of having the Hitty’s peeking through the hole of the carry place in the box was so unexpected and truly adorable.
This is the most precious Advent Calendar I have ever seen. So meaningful, fun and creative. Thank You K, for this and every one of your stories and ideas and friendship.
The Hittys just seem to turn everyday life into amusement – if I invite them to join in, they do with delight. This project has been especially fun, the preparation and the anticipation the deliciousness of opening a little gift, and the sweetness of friendship…You are welcome – it is all more fun because of people like you and my other Hitty friends.
I loved seeing both sides of the handle hole in the box, and delighting in the thought of all those treasures to be savored each day of Advent! I hope that they bring you joy each and every day! ❤
The joy is guaranteed! Every participant put a little love and a little joy into the box of treasure, and the friend who organised it all deserves a great big hug for inspiring us!
what fun, the girls will be waiting eagerly each day to see what is next. The beaded slippers are gorgeous – still need to get the book “Our Boots” to you.
It is fun, isn’t it?! I jumped for joy when I saw that you had been gifted something similar…such dear and thoughtful friends and relatives to lift our spirits! The Beaded slippers are from Whitehorse!
what a lovely way to celebrate the season. Thank you for sharing this idea! Hope the girls enjoy each and every day!
Isn’t this a charming and delightful idea? We are so pleased with the idea, we’re happy to have contributed, and it is so much fun opening the little gifts.
