Glorious Eggs
The Quimper Hittys collected eggs from the garden…
.
.
…all shiny and pretty…
.
.
…first they went into the gathering baskets…
.
.
…and then into the Easter egg collection…
.
.
…which also includes these pretty glass eggs from Poland…
.
.
…and these traditionally decorated pysanky – all but one made by members of the human family!
.
.
The Hittys and humans are fond of the chocolate ones, and ate them up…
.
.
…Henrietta got out a carrot for the rabbit!

HAPPY EASTER !
Thank you very much – same to you and Abigail!
Your photos are so bright and cheerful on this glorious day.
It was a beautiful day for an Easter egg hunt!!
Love your Easter photo’s. The girls look adorable collecting their eggs.
The little wooden girls had fun – so did the little human, who came along a little later to scoop the ones the Hittys couldn’t reach!
I am assuming that the lovely rabbit is iron, not chocolate? I love it- especially if it’s made of metal and won’t melt đŸ™‚
You are right – the rabbit is cast iron, and we are very fond of it, even when she clunks when she hops!
all the eggs are lovely but I like the chocolate ones best too.
Purdy’s makes fine chocolate!
What a glorious Easter celebration…your garden was simply brimming with tasty and beautiful eggs! Thank you for sharing with us.
You are welcome – the Easter bunny had a grand time hiding the eggs, and then being amused as they were discovered!
An eggcellent haul for the girls and the humans. I used to have beautiful eggs made from amethyst, agate, marble, bloodstone and quartz which I’d put in a twig ‘nest’ for Easter, but I had to leave them behind when i emigrated to Australia. They now live with my sister in France, which is good too, eggs in a nest need Easter to be in the Spring, not the Autumn…
Ooo – Stone eggs! that sounds so pretty. It’s true a nest with eggs is more like spring…but there are is a lot of suspension of disbelief around these holidays.
