Air Mail

Mr Bumble comes

The giant Bumblebee arrived carrying a basket…

.

.

Mail!

…filled with letters for the Quimper Hittys!

.

.

Letters!

Arianell and Mormor got to open the letters!

.

.

Recipes

Mormor’s letter was from Cousin Ida, and it had some recipes in it!

.

.

Dear Quimper Hittys…

Arianell opened her letter…

.

.

She tried

…and she tried to read it herself, but she needed some help…

.

.

News from the country

…so the youngest human read the letter for her.

.

.

Friends

Arianell was so happy to hear from her friends….

.

Crow feather pen

…that she wrote back as soon as she was done reading her letter.

.

.

Recipe cards

Mormor filed the recipe cards away immediately, dreaming of the summer when she will try the summer squash fritters!

.

.

Postbox

Arianell hoped her letter would get there fast…

.

.

Mr Bumble Goes

…so she sent it by Air mail, of course!

We hope the mail will have a great time flying to the country!

  1. I highly admire the “air” mail carrier. Yes, may it get to the “country” in good time as those there have gifted the QHs so richly with their news.

    • Mr Bumble makes a perfect Air-mail carrier – the youngest Human’s joke! News from friends is always welcome, and it was fun to share it with the dolls and humans in my family…we’ve only just been able to play together again, and this was our first story together in a long time!

  2. Perhaps it’s old-fashioned these days, but receiving letters aka snail mail is so special. The mailbox was the icing on the cake.

    • We love Snail Mail too! It was such a nice feeling to see a real letter lying in amongst the bills and advertisements! The mailbox was a penny bank belonging to my middle child around 20 years ago…very handy for the Hittys who occasionally want to send a letter or two!

  3. That is certainly an impressive air mail service! Glad it is a friendly air mail messenger! Looks as tho the letters were quite welcome. Real mail is so lovely.

    • The Air Mail carrier assured us that he had very strong wings, and only one broken leg, and much dedication and enthusiasm for flying long distances! The letters were very welcome and full of news! Real mail is the best!
