Tansy in the field again
Tansy and Favourite Photographer have not been able to do any archaeological field work since the Pandemic began, but at last they were able to pack their bags, get in a truck and drive along highways, dirt roads and logging roads, to get to the town of Bamfield.

Tansy was very glad to get out of her Pelican case after jouncing and bouncing for hours!

They are staying in the room at the far left…

…and the Motel is overlooked by a pole carved by Ed Jonson Sr…

…with a convenient doll-sized resting spot in the blowhole!

…tomorrow the real work begins!

Lucky Tansy to be on a ride along again. She looks cosy in her travel outfit.
I think Ed Johnson Sr. must have had a premonition that, because of wood being drawn to wood, a little wooden doll would need a handy blow hole in Hitty size, so Tansy would be able to use it as a lookout place. His pole is magnificent!
Tansy is very lucky! This project has been delayed several times already – they are so glad to be on the road again!
WOW! This is so exciting, I wonder what’s the next now. Thank you, Love, nia
Tansy and Favourite Photographer are visiting one of their favourite places! More tomorrow!
It’s such good news that Tansy and FP are able to get back out to some of their work together. It’s encouraging.
It is very encouraging – they are both very glad of the chance to be out on the West Coast again!
It may not be the Passing Cloud but it’s great seeing the dynamic duo, together on one of their missions.
The Passing Cloud work is way more talking and no research – the two friends are in their element (and out in the elements!) on this project!
I hope they have their wellies and macs – maybe even a wet suit. Looks like it is more than just a little wet.
They left in a snowfall warning, and drove through some heavy rain, but it has apparently been a nice fine west coast mizzle all day today!
how exciting for your two specialists to be out in the field again!!
They are so happy (and tired!) after two years of not being able to go out in the field!
So nice to see Tansy in a special outfit along with favorite photographer going for a a ride. It sure sounds exciting
Tansy loves going out to this place, so full of history and so beautiful!
