A sheaf of oats…
…Floradora collected a stalk…

…it’s porridge season in our part of the world! Happy first day of fall to our friends in the Northern Hemisphere, and happy spring to our friends south of the equator!

Floradora, you have chosen a major task in making rolled oats….enjoy the end result of porridge! Do you have a favorite way of serving your porridge?
Some of us like gluey porridge with butter, honey and cream! Other members of the family prefer it dry, with raisins and almonds…there are so many delicious versions of porridge!
I think she’s got a hard job ahead of her with a rolling pin; outside Hitty world, they first steam the grain to make it soft, then roll the steamed grains between large steel rollers to achieve rolled oats. Such a job!
Fortunately Hittys are persevering kinds of dolls so Floradora’s rolled oats should count, even with out steaming and steel-rollers!
how intriguing! I am sure that if any Hitty can do this it will be the Quimper Hittys. The photos are lovely….Floradora never fails to delight.
The Quimper Hittys are game for any amount of fun, especially if food is involved…even if it is a lowly bowl of porridge!
