Floradora and the Irises

This is the most beautiful corner of the garden today ❤

Almost 40 years ago I worked at Hampton Court Palace in England, surrounded by weighty history. The mini Irises were almost the very first harbingers of spring in the vast and wonderful gardens and grounds – I remember them being so encouraging and colourful after grey and chilly winters.

    • The light was lovely at that moment…coming from the southwest and shining through the petals, it was so beautiful I grabbed a Hitty and went outside to try and record it – because you are right! The colours are changeable and fleeting.
