Scrap Happy Hempathy Sweater
After knitting a Hempathy yarn Tee-Shirt, I had most of a ball of yarn leftover, so I cast on a Hitty sweater…
.
.
…knitted a sleeve…
.
.
…and checked the fit.
.
.
Floradora helped choose some mother-of pearl buttons (thank you Dollhouse Lady for the wonderful selection of tiny, beautiful buttons)…
.
.
…and I sew them on.
.
.
Et voilà! A Scrap Happy sweater! Floradora is very very pleased!
.
.
So far I have made two scrappy Hempathy sweaters, and three white scrappy sweaters made with wool that was spun by One Small Stitch (click here for her May Scrap Happy blog about that).

I’ve written out the pattern – click below for a PDF version of it!

ScrapHappy is a group of bloggers (links below) who post monthly about using up scraps! Any genuine scraps are allowed – no new materials. Blog posts are published on the 15th of the month, and it is always a treat to see what ingenious things people are doing with bits and pieces saved from the scrap heaps! If you think you’d like to join the group, contact Kate or Gun who devised and run it – their blogs are the first two links below:

Oh, perfect! It’s such a pretty colour, like freshly-grated nutmeg, or maybe cinnamon?
We do love the colour – I think it is heading toward cinnamon!
Adorable!
Thanks – I am glad I have small people to knit for – I never have to wonder what to do with a bit of leftover yarn!
All are beautifully done, congratulations. Your little dolls are getting clothed for upcoming cooler weather.
It is cool in the evenings here, but not that cool – the dolls don’t want to wear wool yet, so this hemp blend is just right!
Beautiful and cozy wee sweaters with precious buttons! Thanks so much for sharing your pattern!
Thanks, I hope the pattern works for you and other Hitty friends who have leftover sock yarn!
Oh, wow! Thanks for the scale picture. THAT is tiny! So beautiful, though. I really like the tea party picture of all of them in their sweaters. Such a creative bunch you are working together!
It was fun to compare the sizes! Floradora says she is looking forward to playing hide and seek in my t-shirt drawer!
the Hempathy colour is perfect for Floradora, she looks very pleased. Love her ladybug. I’ve copied the pattern but not sure my knitting skills are up to the challenge, will give it a try.
If it doesn’t work for you, just let me know, and I will whip another one up for you!
thank you, your offer is appreciated. I really want to give it a try but my fingers are bothering me – and I stopped spinning for the month! am going to give it another month then go for it anyway. Will let you know. I show everyone Abby’s and Bella’s sweaters.
Just perfect !
Thank you ❤
I’m always so impressed. Thank you
You are welcome – the feeling is mutual!
what a Beautiful little sweater…the color is so perfect for Floradora. I am very impressed.
I like that colour on Floradora too and luckily she loves it!
Thank you so much for the pattern! The cardigan is looking great!
You are welcome – I hope it works for you! They make cute Christmas decorations too – in July or December!!
These are adorable – thank goodness you have those tiny helpers.
Some days I wouldn’t get much done at all if not for the “tiny helpers”!
