Mole Day
October 23 is Mole Day, which the Quimper Hittys are celebrating from exactly 6:02 am till 6:02 pm.
.
.
Henrietta had a special chemistry project in mind…first she inspected the cooky-cutter menagerie…
.
.
…looking for just the right one…
.
.
…Hello Donkey!…
.
.
…What do you think of this recipe?
.
.
…Donkeys are strong – lots of sugar required for this recipe!
.
.
Donkeys are smart too – and good at rounding up the special ingredient for these cookies!
.
.
Henrietta got the spices organised…
.
.
…and the donkey obligingly helped with the cutting-out of the cookies…
.
.
We are very happy to say that Cooky’s cooky sheet works perfectly for one Donkey-shaped cooky! The Quimper Hittys are celebrating Mole day by eating Mole-asses cookies – yum yum!
.
.
Jane is thinking of adding a new book to her recipe collection.
Happy Mole Day to all our Chemistry Friends!

Happy Mole Day to all the Quimper Hittys, and their delightful, inventive and fun humans! So creative to use Mr. Donkey cookie cutter to assist with making mole-asses cookies. I’m still laughing!
I am glad the Mole-asses cookies made you laugh! They were quite tasty too!
And yet another fine, interesting day of celebration has come forth via the Quimper Hitty Household! Mole Day…when I saw the chemistry book in Henrietta’s hands, it took me back to way back when and I vaguely recalled there was some measurement in moles in that subject field. I’m afraid I nearly failed chemistry but I surely think your MOL(E)asses cookies look like a very fine way to bring up such a subject and celebrate.
I think all cooking is actually chemistry! Measurements and mixing the right things together for a predictable result! The Quimper Hittys always enjoy finding ways to mix food into their celebrations – their Mole-asses cookies were a hit inside the cupboard and out of it!!
I loved the link! – one mole is equal to the molar mass of a mole-cule!!!
Hooray for moles! And for finding ways to celebrate!
I appreciate moles, since my blood sugar is measured three times a day in millimoles! I don’t think the mole-asses would do my blood sugar any good, although the cookies do look delish!
The mole-asses cookies were made with stevia! I know the glucose load isn’t eliminated, but it was much reduced! maybe a tiny nibble?
Maybe one, as part of a meal with lots of other things to slow the digestive process 😊
So beautiful,…. So creative too. And yes, photographs are great. I love all details in there… Thank you dear Hitty Lady, Love, nia
Thank you nia, I am glad to say that the Dolls keep having fun and they help the humans enjoy the little things like jokes and cookies!
I love your celebratory days!
your take on Mole day made me laugh! How very clever and so tasty!!!
Everyone agrees the mole-asses cookies are delicious – luckily because the recipe made 5 dozen of them!
