Calm between the storms
It was sunny! After days of ice, snow, slush and rain, Constance and Henrietta ran out to visit the garden before the next storm blows in…
.
.
…and they found…
.
.
…the first Snowdrops!!
.
.
Henrietta said hello to her tree-cousin, who was still kind of sleepy…
.
.
…and then she and Constance went over to encourage the Hellebore flowers. A lot of the plants have turned into slime after the bitterly cold weather, but most of the garden will be OK!

I”m always encouraged when you bring us harbingers of Spring. Although it is a number of months before we’ll see the same, you’ve brought joy to the Müttersholtz Hitty household today.
I am glad! We love the sweet encouragement of Snowdrops in January!
very nice hoodie Henrietta!
Made by a Hitty friend, Henrietta found it a perfect weight for this warmish bit of January.
I saw the first snowdrop f the year in a hedgebank when walking the dogs a couple of days afgo. They always lift my spirits with their promise that Spring is almost here
We love to see the snowdrops – as you say, sweet lovely harbingers of spring!
how nice that there are hints of spring to be found. I love the sweaters on the girls. That gray hooded sweater is just wonderful!!
We are so glad to see the hints of spring – they are very encouraging!
The first brave, bright beauty of Spring. How lovely!
We cherish these “bright brave beauties”…more will come!
