Baby Sock Knitting
A friend of mine is expecting a new granddaughter…
.
.
…so Rose is helping me knit a heap of socks.
.
.
We like the colours…
.
.
…they remind us of fragrant blue Rosemary flowers…
.
.
…and sweet pink Saxifrage…
.
.
…and lofty purple Columbines…
.
.
…and ground hugging Aubretia…
.
.
and glorious Rhododendrons!
.
.
The new baby will have a one year old big sister, so we are knitting a garden of socks for each of them. We always send three socks instead of a pair, because one of them always gets lost… Rose has just started the sixth and last sock!

Breathtakingly beautiful trip with Rose through the colours… This has “made my day”!
Oh how we love the garden at this time of year!
Your socks are obviously so colorful, no doubt soft, nicely made, thoughtful and oh so generous with your heaps as gifts. Thank you Rose and K for sharing such lusciousness with us.
You are welcome, and I am happy to say that our little heap was much appreciated!
What a beautiful socks, I am lost into this colourful little world. Thank you, Love, nia
When you comment, it feels like you have been visiting our garden and visiting our world with us! thank you!

Rose is doing a great job 😉 those socks are awesome!
Rose is a great aider and abetter – as are my blog friends with all the encouraging comments!
What sweet socks. Very nicely done!
Thanks! We like the socks and like that each one is different!
You’re knitting the babies a spring flower garden for their little toeses. Lovely!
Thanks – warm toeses are happy toeses!
Those colours are lovely! I am so glad we no longer restrict babies to pale pastel colours! And sending 3 of each is so sensible.
Oh yes – they are bright and cheerful socks…we love bright and cheerful babies!!!
what wonderful garden scenes and the baby socks are so very sweet. What a good friend you are.
Sock-knitting is fun, and little sock-knitting is extra fun – they work up so quickly!
