Rainy June
Another cold damp day outside…
.
.
…and Nullschool indicates more rain and wind in the offing…(click here for their website to see a visualization of global weather conditions, updated every three hours).
.
.
Constance decided to warm herself up at a different website on the computer…
.
.
…there is a new volcanic eruption in Iceland…
(Click here for live webcam monitoring of the newest Reykjanes Peninsula eruption)
.
.
…everything is hot there!
( Click here for some amazing drone footage of the first day of the eruption on May 29th)
.
.
We are very lucky, we don’t need to deal with boiling rocks and immense storms for real or on the computer!
The rain will stop eventually and our wet garden is a lovely sanctuary!
.
.

Yes, a sanctuary or refuge is a great blessing indeed. Constance always seems to be a source of stability too.
Constance just goes with the flow…if there there isn’t much else to do, she tries to find the positive in situations, I have found her very helpful in contemplating life’s hiccups.
Nullschool is very cool! Thanks for sharing.
We have found it interesting, especially in understanding how local weather is related to the global systems!
A wet day is the perfect excuse to stay indoors and explore the world via a screen. And no watering to do in the garden – Hurray!
It has been a very wet few days (weeks, months) in a row, but the garden is thriving! Weeds too, alas. We go out and pluck weeds in the rain, then scuttle back in for our tea and volcano-viewing!
I have a permanent link to Windy.tv open, so I can keep an eye on what the monsoon front is doing (quiet right now, of course), but this looks very dramatic and interesting. Thanks for the link!
You are welcome! I think it isn’t good for hourly or geographically precise details, but we love to look at the wind blowing around the world!
what dramatic footage of that volcano. Thanks for the links. So happy that the Quimper HIttys, their cats and their humans are all safe and sound!!
Hittys, humans and cats are all glad about that too, we are very lucky to live here, rain and all!
