Apple and Pear Harvest
The quince tree had fewer fruits than usual this year…and they won’t be ripe for a month or so…
.
…our William’s Bon Chrétien pear tree had a reasonable crop, but they are almost finished…
.
.
…and the young Gravenstein put all it’s energy into few apples which ripened and dropped earlier this summer.
.
.
Our neighbour has lots of apples on her volunteer tree…
.
.
…there is plenty of fruit in the Hitty cupboard!!
.
.

I have picked a few apples but most are not ready yet and I never get very many. It is climbing beans I have loads of at the moment.
Our beans are rushing to the end of the season here too, but they need another week or so of warmth and sun…
What a great feeling and fact to have a full larder. The colors of your fruit are astounding, aren’t they?
I just love the colours of the harvested tree-fruit, just so glorious and tempting – the orangey apple is the last Gravenstein from our tree, and the red one is from the neighbour.
Your sweet little ladies were so diligent in checking out the fruit to bring home and looked so adorable doing it. (Love that sweater!) What a bountiful harvest sitting on their table~ Your garden is so colorful and just gorgeous. Love seeing what the Quinper Hittys are up to.
Thanks very much madamemarigold – we all love that sweater too – it is a lovely gold, just right for the harvest season! The Quimper Hittys are looking out all their sweaters, the season is definitely turning!
The doll clothes and the scenes you’ve photographed (and how they do such a great job of holding their poses, they are most cooperative!) are wonderful 🙂
Hittys tend not to wriggle when I ask them nicely to hold still, though they do sometimes fall over!
what a lovely harvest….the colors are so pretty. And your girls are a delight as always.
perhaps the neighbor will share the harvest with you.
The girls delight me too! I am glad you enjoyed our little jaunt, the garden is always a joy to me, and the Hittys!
