Coriander Travels Some More
As the sun went down on a beautiful Arkansas evening, Coriander and I walked on a trail through the woods…
.
.
…to a nice old barn…
.
.
…and spotted some pretty Coralberries. We had never seen these before, but they are related to Honeysuckle apparently. They looked so tempting that we wondered whether they are edible (they are not).
.
.
And after the whirlwind weekend was over, the humans spent the morning cleaning up, while Coriander and her Hitty friend explored a little path in front of the B&B. It led them through a dry grassy meadow…
.
.
…to a stump. Naturally they shinned up it so they could survey the world.
.
.
After hearing plopping sounds behind them, they went to see if there were turtles in the pond, but it turned out to be acorns falling into the water!
.
.
A new doll joined our Quimper Hitty troupe…here is Hitty Malarkey, jointly carved in a three-way collaboration by TC Vollum, Janet Cordell and Adina Huckins; and dressed by me! Everyone at the Hitty Foofaraw event recieved one of these gorgeous dolls! Malarkey is true to her name and performed silly antics with Hitty Coriander and a couple of acorn berets.
.
.
Then Malarkey and Coriander jumped up and down, and sat on our suitcases, trying to help us compress them…
.
.
…before getting back on the tiny propeller plane…
.
.
…for the long trip back to the Hitty cupboard!

Beautiful travel moments, photographs, Thank you dear Hitty Lady, have a nice weekend, Love, nia
You are welcome, nia, we experienced so many new things. The forests and landscape were very different to what I see at home – and the Hitty friends so nice – I enjoyed the trip very much!
Gorgeous scenery, gorgeous Marlarkey, and many thanks for sharing a slice of your time in Arkansas.
Months of work culminated in the weekend of fun (and more work!) It was so rewarding to hear that the attendees enjoyed themselves too. The Hitty event took place in Branson Missouri, but our B&B, a lovely little house down in a hollow, was a few miles south just over the border in Arkansas. We were glad to welcome Malarkey into the Quimper Hitty cupboard – she seems to be settling in!!
What a wonderful adventure! I am so glad that you made it there and back safely and had a delightful time! Malarkey is lovely and I am sure that she will fit into the Quimper Hitty family very happily!
It was an adventure! There were many planes and connections. The tiny cessna one-prop plane was the most exciting! It all went smoothly, and we are also glad to be home safe and sound, and with a few extra purchases and gifts. Malarkey and Coriander made a great team and were very helpful when it came time to compress the suitcases!
What a grand addition to the Quimper Hitty family. My own Hitty Flavia is eager to begin her own advientures. She is rather envious of the plane rides that Malarky has enjoyed.
Watch out when your Hitty Flavia acquires her bicycle – it will be hard to keep track of her I understand that her namesake was rather challenging to keep reined in! Malarkey and Coriander thought the flying matchbox plane was the best – and since Coriander was carved after being soaked in Aviation Gin, she thinks flying is her destiny!
Remember driving through Arkansas in 2010 in a motor home …. Our kids were very young then and it was our first trip driving across America 🇺🇸
We covered 10000kms from the West, down to Louisiana and back again…. An epic trip to say the least! Photos capture so many memories and are very precious ❤️🩹
Have a lovely weekend my Friend 🌹
We really enjoyed ourselves, and experienced such interesting and different landscapes, food, weather, everything! It sounds like you and your children have good memories of that trip, as we will of ours. You have a good weekend too ❤
Your Hitty family keeps growing and providing the rest of us with lots of fun.
I can’t help myself! Little wooden dolls just light up my life!
wonderful memories and a new Hitty! Welcome Malarkey, it must be getting a bit of a tight fit in the cupboard. With a name like that I expect there will be some shenanigans.
I expect shenanigans too – in fact I may have to take her on a visit to Cook Street on a visit to the Books and Shenanigans shop!
Good job Malarkey and Coriander helping the fellow travelers get their suitcases closed 🙂
Looks like more fun adventures!
Adventures are always more fun (in my opinion) when accompanied by a Hitty or two! I am sure I couldn’t have closed the suitcase without the extra help!
