Projects
I have completed the most recent sock project… I had taken the yarn, needles and pattern with me on my trip to Arkansas, Minnesota and Missouri, and mostly knitted on the plane and in airports waiting for the plane. Getting home there were other demands on my time, but the socks are done at last! Coriander and Malarkey had one last snuggle on them – these socks are for the youngest human whose feet have grown bigger than mine!!!

Meanwhile, a couple of months ago, I wove a linen wash cloth…
.
.
… which came off the loom last week, so Constance helped me to hem it…
.
.
…and Coriander is knitting on day 13 of the Arne and Carlos’s Mystery Stocking…
.
.
…we “heart” all these projects, it is so fun and so satisfying complete the in progress ones, and a delight to to see the pretty designs emerge on the knit-along stocking!

Very, very pretty!
Thanks! It is very nice to be doing this project in the late fall days, very pretty and cheerful!
Oh my! Just the thought of nestling my tootsies down in those amazing socks makes my toes tingle!! I’m not a knitter but boy how I LOVE some good wool socks!!:)
These are good wool socks! My young human is still happy to wear “Grandma-socks” and I am happy to make them for her as long as that attitude lasts!
I love the open, slubby texture of the washcloth weaving. And those socks are divine. Wish I had the weather for socks, it might actually prompt me to learn to make them!
The wash cloth will shrink up a but after washing, but will definitely retain its textured surface! I love socks and sock-knitting, and fortunately I live in Canada!
The perfect place for warm and cosy socks 🧦
I love your socks. And your little helpers!
Thanks! The little wooden helpers are very encouraging! How are your stockings coming along?
I have finished the pair I was working on but now my Granddaughter has asked for a jumper – apparently the ones in the shops are Meh! So I am trying to get it finished before my hand is operated on and in time for Christmas. It is the first time she has asked for something as she usually prefers to look ‘normal’ so I really want to respond.
They look pretty busy! The socks are gorgeous and the works in progress looks awesome!
The Quimper Hittys are always busy – busier than me some times! It is great to have them working on stuff while I am puttering around, more fun, and every little bit helps!
my goodness what a very busy household…and so many helpers. Love seeing all of your projects.
