Patch of Sun
A patch of sun appeared in the Quimper Hitty cupboard – so welcome and encouraging after days and weeks of grey skies and storms! Tipsy is basking in the glorious light…

…Vanilla moved herself and her knitting over to take full advantage of the patch of warm sunshine…
.
.
…Coriander is admiring how the backlit sunlight makes the cactus flowers glow…
.
.
…and Siyah is settling down for a catnap!

Glorious light, soft, vibrant blossoms, and the warmth it all brings-makes for a cozy setting doesn’t it? So glad you’re having a “patch” of light. Our similar cactus is blooming too now. It’s blossoms are white with pink….so cheering in the upcoming and upon us, winter darkness.
A friend gave us the pretty cactus – we are really enjoying it – as you say, so very cheering in the winter darkness.
Siyah so serious, and so lovely, Thank you, have a nice day and weekend, Love, nia
Siyah followed the patches of sun all across the room, from chair to chair as the sunlight moved…her black fur absorbed the heat and the light! She is such a cat!!
Exactly… Blessing and Happiness to you All, Love, nia
sunshine always lifts the spirits especially in the cold winter months. Enjoyed all the inhabitants enjoying the bit of sunlight.
Our coastal winters aren’t usually as cold as some other places in Canada, but they are dark! We treasure every speck of light!
Beautiful how they are enjoying the patch of sun!
The Hittys and humans are prone to dark gloom, but the cat just takes joy in the light…we are trying to be more cat-like!
We are having a lot of grey, damp days and sunny patches are mopst welcome. Well done Hittys for making the most of one.
Sunny patches are very welcome here too! It has been a stormy fall so far, with the weather and world situation conspiring…so noticing the lovely moments is important to us.
It has been stormy here too with lots of grey damp days. Last night there was a red weather warning for this area and a governmenbt alert came to my phone late evening. It should calm down soon but I have intermittent power and low power when it is on at the moment. Sunshine would be very welcome!
So lovely to bask in a patch of brilliant warmth. I have very similar feelings about a nice patch of deep, dark shade!
Haha, yes – the seasons are reversed in the southern hemisphere…we are lucky that it seldom gets all that hot around here even at the height of summer.
