Thank you! The rocking chairs are made in Quebec by A. Nadeau. We were given one, and then found a few more in consignment shops – we just love them, they are a perfect size for Hitty!
Each girl has her favourite story! I love them all to varying degrees, and I am so impressed that they were published 200+ years ago and we can still find meaning and entertainment in them!!
It is a truth universally acknowledged that Hittys and books feel a kindred spirit, since their origins in the physical sense are from the tree. The same might be said for rocking chairs, of course, to complete the harmony. Miss Austen would approve of these small persons assembled decorously to enjoy the fruits of her imagination.
Time flies, doesn’t it?, especially when reading a good book. Enjoy the stories, little Hittys!
These particular books we read and re-read…like visiting old friends!
Those rocking chairs are just adorable 😍🥰

Jane might be shocked to see the world as it is today, the Hittys would fit in her world perfectly. I love the Hitty collection of tiny books.
The Hittys love their books too, and spend a lot of time reading!
Oh my goodness – the rocking chairs – too awesome! Nice way to celebrate JA’s birthday 🙂
We all love those wee chairs – except the cats! It’s the best way to honour an author, we think…reading and appreciating their works!
I love the reading club and that they all have a rocking chair! As a fan of Ms Austen I highly approve.
