Advent Calendar 2024: 13, 14, 15, 16
The crafty Advent Calendar package contained some sweet cards and a gift tag on the 13th…
.
.
…and a jar of our favourite pickles on the 14th…
.
.
…the 15th was a dear little fungus ornament made with a birch twig and some mushy stuff made into caps on the top.
.
.
…and on the 16th (Jane Austen’s birthday) a pretty bookmark!
.
We will enjoy eating the pickles, tucking the bookmark into our current book, and now that the postal strike is over, writing and sending the cards!!!
.
.
Thank you to all the advent gift-givers, and especially the Christmas Angel who organises us – this year and the previous four years – December is such fun and so cheering!

I particularly like the label on the pickles!
We liked it too – it made us laugh!!!
Advent joy and now, no doubt postal joy! Thank you again for sharing the happiness at your QH household.
We are loving the advent calendar, and Postal joy for sure…we might even get a Christmas card, though we haven’t missed the bills and advertising!
The Mission Bend Hitty’s enjoy seeing your Advent picture so much. Guess what they want to start doing next year! Your Girls are beautiful~
It is a really fun thing to do for December – we really love the fun of making our contribution and the anticipation of opening the other gifts!
Pickled Noses! That is the cutest – very creative! It has been so fun to see what is your Advent Calendar – continues to be delightful 🙂
We are delighted each day, by all the different ideas people come up with! The noses were a favourite! They will not be sacrificed to embellish a snow person (not that we have any snow in Victoria so far this year!!)
the gifts keep coming and what a variety! Love the noses!!
The noses are very special…crunchy and delicious! And yes – such a variety we just never know what will be in the next package!
I hoped they’d be Rudolph noses (aka cherries), but instead, they were Snowman noses…
I did once make some delicious gingerbread reindeer noses out of some red peppercorns – they were really good!
