December Bouquet
Tansy took Coriander and Vanilla out for a little row in the soggy back yard…
.
.
…there was a huge puddle under the Rhododendron bush…
.
.
…it’s been so rainy that the entire back garden was extremely wet!
.
.
The dory only has five oars but Tansy has a Nuu-cha-nuulth paddle to help out if Vanilla and Coriander had needed help. Vanilla brought scissors and of course they had a bailer in case of emergency.
.
.
It was hard work but their goal was in sight!
.
.
The Anemone and Dianthus just keep blooming!
.
.
They cut some flowers and some Rosemary and rowed home to the Hitty Cupboard…
.
.
…where Coriander and Vanilla made a little December bouquet.

WOW! What a beautiful story with a boat… I loved the colours and all the photographs. This is great art in miniature world. Thank you dear Hitty Lady, Love, nia
We love the boat! It is a great accessory to have at hand when the entire garden turns into a swamp!
I enjoyed seeing their boating adventures! Awesome photos and thanks for the smile while I had my tea 🙂
You are welcome! The Hittys all had tea after they got back inside and found a vase for the flowers. Nothing like a cuppa to banish the clammy dampness away after a row in December!
Lucky Hittys to have a boat! I think I might need one here soon!
It has certainly been a wetter than usual December here! Fortunately the Hittys have their Dory, and I have a nice pair of Wellies!
Yes Wellies are essential!
a lovely bouquet on a soggy day. We didn’t take to the boats but it is a bit wet up here too.
It has been SO Wet! And I hear there is another cyclone headed towards us…The Hittys may have to go out shopping for us!
Oh, the HIttys are very intrepid as well as little artists with a beautiful goal in mind. When it rains, take a boat ride!
We are glad they have such a sturdy boat, and are such intrepid adventurers! A little boat ride to pick flowers is just their kind of adventure!
I should open our back yard to Hitty-craft. We are virtually a shallow lake following some almost continuous thunderstorms over the past three days. 100mm in the last 24 hours alone…
Yikes – that’s a lot of rain! I bet you have lots of muddy foot and paw prints on your floors!
Only one set so far, after which we laid down a carpet of dog towels in the laundry to catch the worst of it. Round here, mud rooms really live up to their names! Yesterday, we had 184mm in 24 hours. It’s getting worse…
Oh dear…and we have another bomb cyclone pointed at us, due to arrive on the 24th. I hope Santa is flying Eastward…
Let us devoutly hope we both survive the, er, ‘seasonal’ weather!
Fantastic!! What an adventure! 🙂
They love adventures!
They really look like they’re in a river! 🙂
There was certainly a lot of water around, but there wasn’t very much of a current!
Ha ha ha, well the pictures really tell a story, they’re great. 🙂
Oh! This is just a WONDERFUL adventure! Thank you!
You are welcome, and thank You!! The Quimper Hittys love their little adventures especially dory stories!
what an intrepid crew! And their bounty is lovely. I so admire their dedication to beauty. Love seeing them in the boat…and yes that is a VERY soggy back yard!!
We are so surprised about the flowers – it just hasn’t been very cold here, so I think the plants are confused!
These are such fun photos! What an adventure they had.
Just a little adventure – just right for little wooden dolls!
