Chilly Flowers

snow

Malarkey is a tender little blossom, carved in Puerto Rico and Arkansas – she put on the warmest Hitty coat (the one with a hood, mittens and a scarf) and ventured outside to see what she could see. She saw some snow…

More snow

and a big clump of giant snowdrops…

snowdrops

…and a little clump of tiny snowdrops!

Crocus

A few brave crocus blossoms are peeking out…

Hellebore

…but her favourite flower in the garden today was the Hellebore!

Supper

Malarkey came inside chilly from her walk, but Jane warmed her up with baked beans and cornbread fresh from the oven!

  1. Beautiful coat and the colours too. Your garden and flowers are so beautiful, flowers coming up… Thank you dear Hitty Lady, Love, nia

  2. My snowdrops have not so much as peeked up yet… but my daffodils that are near the house have poked up some green shoots! I love your Hellebores as well!

    • I love that the plants are doing their thing irregardless of the human concerns…Daffodils will come! We like the snowdrops, Hellebores and daffodils (when they appear in about a month) because the deer leave them alone!

  3. ohhhh blooms! Here we are blanketed with snow and below freezing temps so Malarky and her adventure in the garden is very welcome. She was VERY warmly dressed. and sweet Jane with my favorite cornbread and beans!! thank you
