Pender Island Jaunt 1
Holly and Coriander went on a jaunt to Pender Island just north of Victoria…
.
.
…which meant a little drive followed by a ferry ride…
.
.
…and another little drive to the Inish Eile sheep farm!
.
.
The girls trotted up the hill…
.
.
…and nipped through the gate, where Pest was waiting hopefully…
.
.
…Pest is an orphan lamb, very pestiferous, but very soft and warm.
.
.
…they climbed a stack of haybales to get away from him and to admire the view…
.
.
…then traipsed back down the hill (they sat on the roof of a shed for a rest on the way)…
.
.
…and they climbed around on the Irish donkey cart parked outside the Yarn Barn (now they want a Hitty-sized donkey and an Irish Donkey cart)…
.
.
…and inside the Yarn Barn they cavorted in some luxurious yarn skeins…
.
.
…and met some Hitty-sized silly sheep!
.

Love Pender, did you come home with some lovely wool?
One of the members of the Hittys human entourage did come home with some wool! Pender was lovely, we really enjoyed the day!
What a great outing!
The day was lovely – warm but not too warm…cool but not too cool, friendly companions and an adventurous spirit!
My favorite photo is them looking out the window on the ferry! The sheep are awesome as are the photos from the outing!
A real westcoast view, eh? We enjoyed it all from beginning to end!
I loved the herd of silly sheep! Ahhh ferrys, islands, oceans….all so exotic to this land locked Hitty family! Enjoyed the adventure.
Did you see the very silly almost spherical sheep!? They were very extremely silly, though sheep in general are not noted for their extreme intelligence.
I love visiting various friends who keep sheep and the orphan ones which have been bottle fed are always very friendly.
Is it too much of a stretch to think that there might be some Hitty-sized woollen items as a result of the day’s outing. Made from Hitty-sized sheep, of course…
What a lovely outing and looks like they had fun in the Yarn Barn! Now you must find them a Hitty sized donkey – there are already sheep in their size so it’s hopeful 🙂
