Pender Island Jaunt 1

Ferry

Holly and Coriander went on a jaunt to Pender Island just north of Victoria…

.

.

Off we go!

…which meant a little drive followed by a ferry ride…

.

.

Sheep!

…and another little drive to the Inish Eile sheep farm!

.

.

Trot

The girls trotted up the hill…

.

.

Pest

…and nipped through the gate, where Pest was waiting hopefully…

.

.

Pat

…Pest is an orphan lamb, very pestiferous, but very soft and warm.

.

.

Hay

…they climbed a stack of haybales to get away from him and to admire the view…

.

.

Mossy rest

…then traipsed back down the hill (they sat on the roof of a shed for a rest on the way)…

.

.

Donkey Cart

…and they climbed around on the Irish donkey cart parked outside the Yarn Barn (now they want a Hitty-sized donkey and an Irish Donkey cart)…

.

.

Yarn!

…and inside the Yarn Barn they cavorted in some luxurious yarn skeins…

.

.

Sheep!

…and met some Hitty-sized silly sheep!

.

.

  1. I love visiting various friends who keep sheep and the orphan ones which have been bottle fed are always very friendly.

  2. Is it too much of a stretch to think that there might be some Hitty-sized woollen items as a result of the day’s outing. Made from Hitty-sized sheep, of course…
