Another Stray
After several days of being tossed hither and yon, followed by several more days of being snarled in tariffs and supplementary surtaxes…
.
.
…a little black cat finally emerged from the red tape…
.
.
…and went to inspect the Hitty clowder.
.
.
After determining that the meal arrangements were acceptable…
.
.
…and that laps were tolerable (just barely)…
.
.
…the little cat deigned to allow us to adopt him!
.
.
Thanks so much to Adina Huckins for carving me this gorgeous little cat for the Hitty cupboard.

That is such a good description of cat behaviour! Your red tape is very pretty but I much prefer to avoid it 😉
The red tape is a sign of the times, alas. Fortunately cat behaviour is predictable, if aloof! We think he will fit in just fine!
The new cat joining the cat clowder (new word to me!) is wonderful…and loved your symbolism of the red tape, etc. but sorry you’ve had to endure that. Glad the cat came through safely though.
The cat was peeved at the delay…we were kind of expecting it, so it was not a surprise, just an annoyance. The Hittys are really glad their new Blueberry has arrived at last to expand their clowder!
He looks very content! He’ll be the happiest kitty ever in the Hitty cupboard 💚
He is very content! A real kitty character, and we absolutely love him – thank you so much! His little shoulders, friendly tail and lifted paw are perfectly cat-like!
I enjoyed your telling of this story. It was nice to see the new boy in the last photo. Are those the recipes that we exchanged?
The recipes are from a recipe swap – yes! Mine was for kumquat marmalade, but it is summer squash season at the moment!!
clowder is a new one to me , I’m sure the new kitty will be an excellent addition to the “clouded mass”. Avoiding all red tape!
what a little charmer! I love his pose. Very glad he has such a good home with so many friends and laps!!
Congratulations on the new kitty addition to the group!
It’s nice to have a new kitty in the cupboard! ❤
