Thanksgiving Day
Jane was up to her elbows at work in the kitchen…
.
.
…James James was very bored….
.
.
…so Jane made an emergency telephone call.
.
.
The Clothes Peg Emergency Regiment arrived quickly…
.
.
…and marched James James off…
.
.
…to the parade ground…
.
.
…where they had so much fun marching in formation…
.
.
…that James marched them all home to the Hitty Cupboard!
.
.
Fortunately, unencumbered by childminding, Jane had had time to make many pies…
.
.
…and she was very thankful to the Clothespeg Regiment for doing the washing-up!
It is Thanksgiving Monday today here in the Quimper Hitty cupboard. We are thankful for so many things, including entertaining times in the Hitty cupboard, and for friends like you who make it even more fun to play!
.
.

Besides wishing you a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving Day, let me say that the Clothes Peg Emergency Regiment brought such mirth and wonderment to me. It looks like a change of attitude came forth for James James. Who wouldn’t smile, clap and stare with amazement at such an array of wooden protocol and merriment!
Thanks for the good wishes – James James had fun! But now he wants a busby hat!
Happy Thanksgiving to all.
Jane’s pies look delicious. The Clothes Peg Regiment did a wonderful job of cheering up James James, I love the fire truck.
I played with this fire truck when I was small, it used to live at my grandma’s house!
oh my goodness I am sitting her laughing and congratulating Jane on her clever ploy to distract James James!! I love the fire engine and that regiment of little soldiers ! Delightful!
James James was delighted with the marching, and Jane was delighted with the uninterrupted afternoon – perfect!
My Gosh! What a busy Thanksgiving in the Hitty Cupboard! How very exciting!
James James was much cheerier by the end of the day…he loved all the marching around and especially as it was followed by pie!
James James puts me in mind of Wednesday Adams 😂 Thank you. X
It’s the collar perhaps, or maybe the glum personality! Perhaps both…We are always glad when he cheers up, though it doesn’t seem to last long.
I love those soldiers! And thank you for sharing your Hitty stories – I enjoy them very much!
I had quite the laugh when the The Clothes Peg Emergency Regiment showed up! Fun post 🙂
The Pegs were quite happy to be out of their cupboard! Marching in formation is their idea of a delightful afternoon, especially when followed by cake!
Well seeing them added to the delight of my afternoon!
