Fall Oranges
Floradora and Coriander took advantage of a bright moment between storms…
.
.
…to walk around the neighbourhood gazing at leaves turning colours….
.
.
…and wondering at the intensity of the late nasturtium flowers…
.
.
…there is a lot of orange about at this time of year!
.
.
Floradora headed off to the Art Gallery to see the fall display…
.
.
…and Coriander went home to help out in the kitchen…
.
.
…where she helped toast and grind some coriander seeds…
.
.
We made a coriander and orange cake…
.
.
…unsurprisingly it is Coriander’s favourite cake, but she will have to be patient and wait until Sunday Dinner Dessert!

what beautiful photos….love all the fall colors. And that cake!!! I can feel Corianders longing!!!
We do love this cake – so flavoursome and pretty, and of course, made with coriander!
It is a very orange time of year! I love the sound of that cake.
It is a very nice cake – the toasted coriander is almost citrus-y so goes well with the preserved orange paste.
It’s entertaining that our seasons, although opposites, are intersecting on orange! I’ve been inspired by all the orange flashes nature is offering me in our tropical spring. The cake sounds wonderful, but coriander is a long way down my favourites list – sorry, Coriander!
Never mind! We can’t stand the leaves, but the coriander seeds are much less objectionable to our tastebuds, but I realise that people have different opinions!
Coriander and orange cake! Sounds intriguing….glorious autumnal photos….love seeing the Hittys.
It is a really delicious cake – we think! And we love the orange tilt of the year!
Sounds like a wonderful day ending with coriander and orange cake!
It was a wonderful day! We think the cake plus tea is a fantastic way to finish up an afternoon walk at this time of year!
