Haida Gwaii Beach Walk
Constance and Tansy visited Haida Gwaii in August and went on several walks to North Beach. The dunes are covered with interesting plants, like wild strawberries and this amazing club moss – a member of the Lycopodium family, one of those plants that is virtually unchanged since the time of the dinosaurs.
These salal plants are very small, It certainly rains enough, but perhaps they don’t get saturated with enough water on the dunes. The berries were plentiful and delicious! I have never known a Quimper Hitty to pass up an opportunity to pick and eat some fresh berries.

After climbing up and down and over several sand dunes, Tansy and Constance finally arrive at the beach. Wow. You can even see Alaska on a day as clear as this!

More beautiful pictures! I love your Hitty sized world!
Thank you, the Hittys are always enjoying themselves – I just tag along.
The Quimper Hittys visit such beautiful places and so much history – I enjoy each and every picture.
I am glad you liked the pictures, they do have fun and are happy to share.
Those Hittys certainly find interesting things close to the ground. It just shows us humans would benefit from looking around our feet from time to time.
Yes – look down so you don’t step on them!
Spoken like a true Hitty 🙂
We just love your photography. The girls do a wonderful job of pointing out often overlooked sights and objects.
Thanks, Ann, they were only sorry that it didn’t seem to be Strawberry season!
What a wonderful adventure! I am so happy to have had a chance to join along!
The Quimper Hittys are always finding interesting things to do.
