Trip Around the World
Another two ex Yoyo mini quilts have made their appearance. Min is sleeping (well, lying) under the one made with one-inch squares arranged diagonally – about half of the squares in this quilt are 1930’s reproduction fabrics leftover from a previous project, and the other half from the old yoyo quilt. The back and border is one piece of cloth, made from a piece of 1920’s fabric in my stash…

Min is so excited to have the quilt that she is wide-eyed with glee! The quilts are magnificent!
Not a wink of sleep! Min is dreaming of taking a Trip Around the world!
Nice variety of quilts!
I am really enjoying having these little scraps to play with – I have wanted to try some of these quilt patterns for a long time, and it isn’t quite so daunting when they are such little quilts!
oh now if I can only come up with something half as attractive with my squares!! Wonderful work…as usual.
Min looks so comfy,
All my Hittys are happy with the quilts – I just have to keep them coming so they will each have one!
The rockers seem to me to be having a hilarious and slightly secret chat about something. I wonder if Min is so wide-eyed because she is trying so hard to hear what they are saying?
Perhaps, though I had thought what kept her awake was imagining distant shores and warmer climes, especially warmer climes.
Am new to The Hitty World, thanks to TC? Love looking at your pictures and reading about your dolls. Are your quilts lined with anything?
Hi! My dolls have great fun!! The quilts have no batting, just some stitching to keep the backing and the patchwork together. They would be very fat, and might not drape very well if they had any filler.
